The Score Gameroom – Large-scale Banner
I was approached with a unique project to design a large-scale 5'x16' banner for The Score, a local restaurant, to enhance the atmosphere of their gameroom. The goal was to convey a vibrant, playful energy while featuring a selection of beverage offerings. The client provided creative freedom, requesting only that the final piece reflect the fun spirit of the space. To achieve this, I developed a concept inspired by vintage 1980s neon signage, using glowing typography and custom illustrations to capture the retro aesthetic. Drawing from the games available in the gameroom, I incorporated elements such as pool and Jenga to visually anchor the theme and reinforce the interactive nature of the space. This project demonstrates my ability to work at a large scale, blend custom illustration, and execute creative typography. It also reflects my experience collaborating directly with clients, as I worked one-on-one with the restaurant owner to refine the vision and ensure the final design aligned with their goals. The finished banner is now a permanent feature in the space. Its success was recognized with positive client feedback and a generous gesture of appreciation—a complimentary lunch for my team and I at the restaurant.
